Amelia is a 28 year old mare that came to the rescue as an owner surrender. She struggled with her left eye and it was deemed necessary to remove. She came through surgery with flying colors and never lost her appetite!! Her adopter must feed her first before they feed themselves. She asked us to put that in the contract!

Mable came from a kill pen in Tennessee and was practically starved to death. She is 18-20 years old. At the rescue, she has had her laminitis in front right hoof treated and tested positive for Cushings Disease in which she receives medication. Both her weight and hooves are looking much better! Any adopter will love her diva personality and she may knock on your door if you are late for breakfast.

Tex came from a kill pen in Texas and then stayed at a rescue. We found that he needed a bit more training than was discussed. Once caught, he tries very hard to do as asked, but he is nervous about it. His greatest progress so far is standing closer as volunteers deliver his feed. Trust is a process and he is working with us on it.

Denver came from the same kill pen in Texas and stayed at the same rescue with Tex. He also needed more training than was discussed. He has made very good progress with trust and loves snacks. He had shoulder surgery in the past and now has some bind in his hind end which is undergoing massage. This will also help with farrier service.
