The cost of sponsorship is $250 for a horse or $150 for a miniature per month. This pays 50% of their monthly cost.
Each horse needs 2 sponsor's in order to cover their monthly cost or you can cover both!
Remember this is "your" horse, so you will get to spend time with "your” horse whenever you want to!

Willow was starved & abused and her baby Finn had never had a loving hand on him. Willow was terrified of people and had scars all over her legs and face. She was extremely dangerous when she arrived at BHFERS and tried to bite us fiercely as well as charge us with pure aggression anytime we got near her. After months of love, compassion and letting her choose when she was ready to be touched, she became the heart of BHFERS. She is the caretaker of all the equines that come here . She takes them under her wing and shows them that its ok to trust us. I truly believe that God chose her for our rescue and she will live her life here and will never know anything other than love and kindness. That is my promise to her...

SPONSORED!!
Hope was saved just in time as she was wasting away. We are carefully increasing her feed and ensuring she gets plenty of alfalfa. She’s come so far already, and Jenna is helping her journey to full health. We hope you would build a relationship like Hope and Jenna with one of our rescues that still need sponsors!!

NEEDS A SPONSOR -
Sawyer is small, but mighty and was a care taker to Hope on the ride from Texas and their days in quarantine. He is the best friend you want in your time of need! Very friendly and thankfully whatever he has been through has not scarred him.

Nash made it out of Tennessee before he could end up at a kill pen. We are thankful the owner also gave up his brother Memphis.

This sweet, gentle girl has come such a long way from the skinny little donkey who first arrived at the rescue. She’s now so healthy and happy that we actually had to put her on a diet!
Lettie is full of love, kindness, and personality — and with Jesse by her side, the two make an incredible pair.

NEEDS A SPONSOR -
Jesse may be a little shy at first — but don’t let that fool you! Once she warms up, she has no problem stealing all the treats (and all the love!).
She’s adored by everyone here at the rescue, and for good reason. This sweet girl has endured so much — from starvation, to losing her baby, to saying goodbye to every companion she once had.
But those days are behind her now. Jesse has found comfort, friendship, and healing with her best friend Lettie, and these two are inseparable.

Buddy was born on May 30, 2024. He is an endangered Mammoth Donkey who lights up the faces and hearts of all that meet him. He came to the rescue from a loving family that felt he would thrive better with us at our rescue. His momma is Zoe. Buddy will be used for events and one of the greeters here at the farm.

NEEDS A SPONSOR -
Zoe has a heart of gold and is a true gentle giant. She is one of our 4 endangered mammoth donkeys. She greets all who come to the farm and her massive ears are everything! She is such a sweet soul and the reason for my new love of the mammoth breed. She came from a family that felt she would thrive better here and give her the love and care she deserves.

NEEDS A SPONSOR -
Molly came with Zoe and Buddy to join the BHFERS family. She has such a sweet soul but is choosey with who she will let love on her. She came from a loving family who felt she would thrive better here and get the love and care that they could not give her.

All his life he and Tucker just gave and gave while helping a camp with horseback rides. Now at 20 years old and still able to be ridden, they left him thin and headed to a kill pen if not rescued. Lewie is so calm and mature. He just needs a second chance and a loving home hopefully with Tucker along side.

NEEDS A SPONSOR
Tucker and Lewie were both at a camp and spent their entire time giving horse back rides. At 25 years old and still able to give rides, they left him thin and headed to a kill pen if not rescued. Tucker loves attention and is always checking on Lewie. He just needs a second chance and a loving home, hopefully with Lewie along as well!

NEEDS A SPONSOR -
George is Buddys daddy and the best Jack I have ever been around. His gentleness will warm your heart and he loves everyone. He is as gentle and sweet as they come and his smiles will melt your heart! He came with Zoe, Molly and Buddy and his owners thought he would thrive here and get the love and attention that he deserves.

NEEDS A SPONSOR -
1st 5 years of her life she lived with her mom Molly. Then they were separated for 2 years. And now they are reunited!! We love that Molly has her daughter back with her.
PRIVATE HORSE-
Gracie was malnourished and tossed from auction to auction. She had almost given up on life when she came to us. To see the pain in her eyes almost broke me. With just a little bit of love and kindness, we helped her learn to trust again and no what love felt like. This is my husbands heart horse and the love of his life. She is curious, extremely nosey, has a huge personality and can do no wrong in my husbands eyes.
PRIVATE HORSE -
Good Morning Diva AKA "Brodhi"- A former racehorse who started 16 times and won over 400K was thrown away and being shipped to slaughter. He was my very first rescue 8 years ago and my 40th birthday present. He is the love of my life and the reason my dream to rescue became a reality.

PRIVATE HORSE -
Bentley was young and scared and thrown into auction through no fault of his own. With a little time and patience, he allowed some handling and even some grooming! Bentley will have plenty of time to learn and grow while never fearing being thrown away again.
